About Jonathan

🎙️ Unpacking Resilience

This week on The Unbuzzed Podcast, we’re tackling one of the most overused and misunderstood buzzwords out there: resilience. Enter Jonathan.

From my first conversation with him, I learned that resilience wasn’t something he started with—it’s something he earned. It’s the byproduct of battling relentless self-talk and overcoming an early message someone planted in his mind: “You’re not going to make it.” Jonathan didn’t just prove that person wrong—he redefined what’s possible, one impossible feat at a time.

✨ A Journey Beyond Limits

We first crossed paths during one of my late-night LinkedIn explorations, where I stumbled across a post that stopped me mid-scroll. Jonathan had just completed a 58-mile ultramarathon.  A few posts later, I discovered he had also conquered 1,000 pull-ups. My first thought: “Why?” My second thought: “How?!” My third thought: “I need to hear this guy’s story.” So I reached out, and, thankfully, he obliged.

🐾 Small Steps: Embracing the Incremental

What struck me most wasn’t just the sheer scale of what he accomplished, but how he did it: by breaking everything down into manageable steps. That’s his secret sauce—focusing on one mile, one pull-up, one challenge at a time, and simply refusing to quit. The whole time I was listening to him share his story, Eleanor Roosevelt’s quote kept coming into focus: “Do one thing every day that scares you.” Jonathan truly lives by these words, and in our conversation, we unpack what that looks like in real life.
